Jamison’s family has been a fixture of Yakobi Fisheries' home-port of Pelican for decades, and he grew up with Seth. "My dad is a lifelong fisherman, as are some of my uncles. My mom worked for decades at the Pelican Cold Storage." He currently lives and plays in Pelican year round.

Now a 20-year veteran himself, in describing his own entry into the business, Jamison talks about trolling with an old-timer fisherman at age 18 for a summer job, and prior to that, "down on the docks I would try to catch anything that swam when I was a whipper snapper."

Jamison now runs his own fishing venture, on the 1965 wooden Seattle built troller F/V Agile. Summer trolling, and winter longlining. He’s occasionally lucky enough to have his girlfriend deckhand for him.

Jamison likes to work with Yakobi Fisheries because "they put a big emphasis on quality, and my philosophies about fishing align with theirs."
